AMBASSADE DU SENEGAL AU ROYAUME UNI DE GRANDE BRETAGNE ET D'IRLANDE DU NORD
Ambasadeur Extraordinaire et Plénipotentiaire auprès du Royaume Uni de Grande Gretagne et d’Irlande du Nord His Excellency Mr Abdou Sourang is a career diplomat who joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1981 after successfully graduating from the University, Master in law studies – option International Relations in 1979 and the National Administration School in Dakar in 1981. He was in charge of the Bilateral Affairs Division at the Direction for Economic and Technical Affairs at the Ministry before being posted in London at the Embassy of Senegal from 1985 to 1991 as Counsellor then First Counsellor dealing with political affairs. After returning to the Ministry to take care of the Direction for Europe, America and Oceania, he was posted at the Embassy of Senegal in Brussels from 1996 to 2005 as First Counsellor then Minister-Counsellor. From there, he moved on to the Embassy of Senegal in Paris until December 2006 when he was appointed Ambassador of Senegal in Nigeria, Benin, Togo and Permanent Representative of Senegal to the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS). His Excellency Mr Abdou Sourang is Ambassador in the United Kingdom since the 3rd December 2007. He is married and has five children. He enjoys reading and walking. |
